San Diego, CA: According to the San Diego County Registrar of Voters, there are currently 88,000 outstanding ballots in San Diego County.

In the San Diego City Council District 8 contest, there are thousands of votes that remain to be counted. These votes are made up of mail ballots, absentee ballots and provisional ballots.

While Vivian Moreno leads in that race with 36% of the votes, Antonio Martinez is barely ahead of Christian Ramirez by 193 votes in the race for second place. Since June 6, Christian Ramirez has already moved 65 votes closer to Martinez' lead.

Christian Ramirez states, "With several thousand votes left to be counted, all voices and votes in District 8 need to be heard and counted. The District 8 race cannot be concluded yet."
